Asked the godfather of boxes today Mr Bobby Cole for recommendations of a box style to hold my 5 wiganese guides. He recommended something similar to this from moo.com which seems to fit the bill perfectly.
It allows me to get at all the wiganese guides and shouldn’t be too difficult to produce overall.
I’ve had a go already at producing it in the mount board I’ve used for the covers with some simple templates. I originally tried scoring the mount board but it was think enough to bend and left me with the first example.
Having been to Hannah’s workshop for making a portfolio a remembered the method and cut up the pieces individually using a spare piece to get the correct width in the gaps. The only slight problem was with the end of the box as it still needs an extra few millimeters to correspond with the folding but using a sort of cover gave the best example and finish.
I’ll need to obviously redo this with a thicker card stock and some more accuracy but overall it’s looking easily possible to produce it in the space of a day. Need to get some more mount board and have a go at doing a final piece with my own photography on the box but overall its working well and looking good.
